If you regularly call the same number and find pressing numbers annoying? Here is your solution! This is really convenient for everyone who calls conferences, extensions and IVR menu’s.
Luckily iOS and Android built some nice features right into their operating system.
As you may have known, If you call a number with possible extensions, or call a conference or call to a number with a menu in it, you have to wait some time to press the number. In both iPhone and Android phones, it is possible to program a pause and it’s extension/ivr/conference number. It is accomplished by following the steps below.
When to use soft or hard?
When you know that you have to press a number somewhere but don’t know when, use a hard pause. In this way you will be able to control, when those numbers are inserted, by tapping the dial button.
When you exactly know it takes for example 6 seconds before you have to press a number, use multiple soft pauses (3x ‘,’ = ‘,,,’)
Want this automatically?
Check out this fancy app: Dial My Meeting is an app that automatically extracts your conference call information from your meeting invitations, and dials them for you.
